Three Questions With All3Media CEO Jane Turton

One of THR's 35 most powerful women in international TV, she weighs in on the year's biggest accomplishments and challenges, as well as her advice for young women in the industry.

Global production juggernaut All3Media, led by veteran CEO Jane Turton, produces 4,000 hours of content annually. It has not only made headlines with such hit productions as The Traitors, The Tourist, Life on Our Planet, Boat Story and the upcoming Squid Game: The Challenge, but also the fact that co-owners Warner Bros. Discovery and Liberty Global recently kicked off a sales process for the company.

“This could be a catalyst for consolidation and really help transform other studio businesses,” Liberty Global CEO Mike Fries explained in September. “All3 is an incredible business. The management team, the assets, the studios they have are world-class. We love Jane, we love what All3Media does.”

What was the biggest professional challenge you faced this past year?

Uncertainty. This has been a common theme over the past few years. Led by COVID, followed by big structural and cyclical changes in the sector with the backdrop of a tough macro-economic climate. As content producers, we have adapted fast and responded incredibly well. Full credit to the production community!

What do you see as your biggest achievement of the past year?

Growing All3Media. It is all about building the business — every show, every new development, every relationship, every award, every successful audience delivery.

What advice would you give young women just entering the industry?

Be compassionate, courageous, honest and work very hard! It is a fantastic time to be a woman coming into the television industry. Always challenging, but definitely a time when talented women are needed in senior roles. It is good for business.
